Pros

Adequate health insurance, retirement planning options

Cons

Upon reading other reviews of various Baxter sites, I see that the culture which existed at my division is the norm rather than an exception. So I will summarize what I agree with. The company is in a constant state of change leading to feelings of instability among employees. Management is not honest about potential raises or promotions. They hire at the lowest wage that "the local market can bear". This lead to an unqualified workforce impossible to train. So the trainers were constantly reprimanded when employees could not perform their assigned duties. There was a very high turnover. This also leads to an unskilled and unqualified workforce. All of this makes one draw the conclusion that Baxter does not care about customers and patients at all or they would address these problems. All they seemed to care about is cutting costs and improving the bottom line for their stockholders. The future I see based on their business ethics is that the company will rot from the inside.

Pros

Was a great company 5 years ago. Declined heavily in the last 3 years. Way too many lay offs and restructuring.

Cons

Favoritism. Manager has no answers looks to someone they manage for answers. This person gatekeeps information and is overall toxic. Contradictory instructions. Managers will rely on bad information and then different managers will give you conflicting orders. If you try to go to the upper managers they will terminate you and lie about it. You could be asked to solve problems you were not hired for.
