Pros

Good base salary compared to other companies.

Cons

Bad bonus, bad management (incapable European field sales managers), shareholders >>> personnel. Never good enough, we always have to do more. US has no clue what's happening in the rest of the world.

We appreciate you sharing your experience. It's gratifyting to hear that you feel your base salary is fair. As you know, bonus are based on a number of factors, primarily our financial performance. It's been a challenging sales environment for our entire industry and recent bonuses have reflected that economic reality. Our advice to you is to bring these issues up in a discussion with your manager, which is how we improve. We are confident however that Bio-Rad is well positioned to continue to grow in the long term, but the short term is up to us.

Pros

I love my co workers and the ability to make my customers happy. Benefits are alright and I do like the products.

Cons

Modern marketing is non existent and the company has been taken over by sweater vest tech bros who feel phony at best. This company is too large to innovate or be nimble, yet too small to acquire new things to sell. Salaries are just so low now that I might need to leave, then come back just to get a pay raise. I’m seeing similar jobs posted for 20% more base than I make 10 years in. No transparency on advancements and annual raises do not reflect effort and making too close to plan on sales just sets you up for failure in the next year. I’d say use this company for a few years then move on.
