      Pros

      Nice People, Great Rates of Pay, Tax Free and nice projects.

      Cons

      Almost no permanent contracts (very difficult to get one). You can only work there for a maximum of 8 years (5 + 3).

Addressing your comment on permanent contracts, in 2014 retention rate of staff recruits was at about 30% and with a recently reviewed contract policy we aim towards increasing long term career prospects for staff and will continue to do so in the coming years.       Pros

      The employment process is very smooth and supportive. The technical team interviewed me for technical skills, and the HR is very supportive and helpful. Especially I haven't been employed by CERN previously, so I have a lot of questions. The employment team is very helpful and answered all my questions patiently. Also I like the job and my work very much.

      Cons

      Maybe the primary communication method could be email instead of phone calls? I sometimes miss phone calls, but will check every email.
