essentially self employed, determine own work schedule, profit potential unlimited, must align yourself with trading firm, securing a membership helps reduce overhead costs if medium + size trader
Cons
no benefits i.e. health insur., paid vacation, retirement account- must self fund all of the above....no guarantee you will make money, high possibility to lose money...requires excellent risk management skills and ability to operate effectively in high stress environment
