Pros
Good place to work. Dept. where I worked is very laid back. Seem more willing than usual to embrace new technology and encourage software engineering best practices. Compensation seems competitive. QA is a pleasure to work with.
Cons
Like any large corporation, there's lots of red tape and bureaucracy in between you and getting your job done. Politics and personality defects sometimes get in the way of good software engineering. It is a fight to get open-source solutions approved.
