Pros

1. Lots of smart people around you 2. Some very challenging projects and clients 3. Work with a wide diversity of individuals 4. Excellent place to start your career

Cons

1. Pay only competitive at career start, else falls further behind market the longer you stay 2. Constant, constant attrition around you get bothersome, as people ALL move on quickly from the lack of pay advancement 3. Besides the advisory consulting group, rest of Capgemini is focused on offshoring all their and clients jobs from developed countries as fast as possible, for achieving the greatest contribution margin for project, practices, and company. If you don't want to have constant late night phone calls with the bulk of your team members in India, or the need to build always a rush client sales proposals three times a week till midnight, you will tire quickly of Cap (another reason for the high attrition) 4. Company is really an Indian pure play company now (majority of employees are in India, the company just pretends to be French mindset), and the employee base reflects this more each year. Many sharp people, but be aware of this reality. 5. Any position review past Manager level is essentially based on sales volume you move (and to make any real profit margin and be rewarded, you need to drive to a maximum offshore delivery model) 6. Few people past entry levels stay for any period of time, and these are all work only obsessed people who never wanted to have families or work/life balance. Again, it is a good starting point for career, but you won't be there for a long time.
