Pros
Normally a stable industry. Since 2018, several layoffs that don't make the news. The corporate environment is more diverse than the service center environment. The service center is less progressive for minorities. Certainly a "good Ole boy" environment in the service centers.
Cons
Current leadership in 2021 out of touch with employee concerns. New leadership treats employees as of they should be lucky to work for company and lauded attrition as a positive. Very difficult to get into leadership if you start off too low in the company. Many managers cannot offer team members support because they are detached from the teams they manage.
