Pros
The people, the opportunities and the balance. In my almost 20 with the company I have worked fulltime, part-time, flex hours and have taken personal leave. I have had the great opportunitiy to travel to places like South Africa. I have worked with some of the most professional, talented and just plain good people. There are many benefits that employees can take advantage of for their own personal growth like educational reimbursement, internal training. The company not only supports but encourages volunteering in the community.
Cons
Chevron has a very strong culture that can be frustrating to both new and seasoned employees. It can be hard to move up in a position without moving out. With all the great people you will work with you, unfortunately have to deal with some people that - shall we say - are more 'challenging' to make matters worse is when these folks get promoted into higher positions to where they can do least amount of damage.
