Pros

Good stable company, tough to lose your job. Decent work life balance not great

Cons

coned uses a pay parity method which really demotivates hardworking employees from performing at a high level. No real benefit to working hard at this company when other people get paid the same amount for less work/ dependibilty. ON top of that, management will give more work to higher performers for no extra money. The union personel that the chief construction inspectors oversee and approve of their time make 15-20k more base than management employees and are also eligible for time and a half overtime

Pros

- wfh - equipment provided - 2 raises a year

Cons

- very cliquey - OT is only 2 additional hours a day. nothing more - management prioritizes metrics over employees’ wellbeing - zero downtime in between calls. constantly back to back from beginning to end of shift - other depts do not hold their weight, which results in CSR’s having to do twice the work. can/will lead to burnout - union uwua local 1-2 does not advocate for members like they should. they are very cozy with con ed management. will be lackadaisical with member requests
