Not great, but hopefully improving. - Physical Therapy Technician Concentra Employee Review

Pros

Easy to stand out because they hire bad people. It's nice working with physical therapy patients. Area director seems to be trying to make progress, hopefully this is at the urging of the parent corporation.

Cons

Disorganized, management lets problems fester to the point where your clinic doesn't function and then blames the workers. Onboarding process disjointed. Nobody knows what's going on, but there's lots of blame going around. Management ignores repeated emails from departments about things like cancelled referrals, doesn't put in the tiny effort required to fix the referral, eventually canceling patient treatment. Won't give you promised wages even when they give you multiple times the workload you agreed to do at the price they set. Won't put enough people on to do needed jobs and management runs away when rushes hit, then come back in time to criticize mistakes, instead of providing direction. Hire terrible people because they are friends, even with obvious substance abuse problems.

Pros

The pay is higher than most employers offer for similar positions. The benefits like PTO & sick time are higher (with increased seniority).

Cons

No paid holidays. The culture is not as warm & "family-like" as it has been in the past. If you do not fit a specific "mold" for leadership they will not hire or promote you despite your vast knowledge & added value to the team.
