    Pros

Concentra truly puts their patients first. Everyone I work with is extremely helpful and fun to work with. They create a great environment for success and give the centers the tools needed for success. They like to promote from within and help their employees grow to the next level.

    Cons

The bonus structure can be hard to achieve if you are working at a busy center. Goals should be per center not per market

I have been working at Concentra full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Good benefits, no weekend schedule for most employees. And they to hire from within to other departments. Great starting place for the overall company.

    Cons

Stressful, Underpaid, unorganized management and lack of warning for upcoming changes.

    Advice to Management

Work on being better organized at all levels of management.

I have been working at Concentra full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Flexible schedule, independence, national name for a resume, and a very structured sales training which is great for those new to sales. If you're lucky you'll have a good boss. Great opportunities for advancement if you enjoy the politics.

    Cons

Upper management won't listen to the field for anything. Every department is always blaming the other. Most days it doesn't feel like a true sales organization as you're mostly inputting "activity" in the CRM to appease the private equity firms with a stake in the company. Pay is low. Benefits aren't that great.

    Thank you, next.

    Advice to Management

You all should retire because you don't know how to listen which means you don't know how to lead.

I worked at Concentra full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great place to get your foot in the door to go on to sell for a better company without a drawn out, redundant sales process. They leave you alone if your numbers are good. Work life balance is good.

    Cons

Unstable, revolving door within leadership, constant busy work, redundant reports and leadership is not actually in touch with the workload we have due to the fact that they themselves don't know the programs and time required to complete things for our so called sales documentation/ regurgitating sales process. The 401k is a joke.

    Advice to Management

Have Vince and all of your regional managers document in the CRM and fill out redundant reports for a rep one week on top of doing a video and participating in numerous conference calls and webinars. See how much time they have to actually sell in front of customers. Upper management needs to learn C4 instead of asking reps and DMs to run redundant reports for them they could easily access themselves. They also need to learn our CRM so they CLEARLY understand how time consuming that CRM is. It makes upper management look plain lazy and out of touch with the field. When sales reps spend twice as much time filling out reports or entering data as they do on the phones or in the field, you have a process problem. Excess process can cause your team to be overburdened, unproductive, and seriously hurt your sales numbers. It’s up to you to take a close look at your sales team and find just the right amount of sales process for business success. If you’re asking your reps to write up reports faster than you or other management can read them, it’s too much paperwork. If your data is outpacing your ability to analyze it, it’s not helping the organization at all and is just wasting time. Even if there’s a reason for everything you’ve implemented for your sales process, there may be duplicate or overlapping processes that provide the same information over and over again. Think Dallas training all over again. And again. And again. You have to think hard about implementing a new training process to make sure it’s not redundant. To conclude, the majority of upper management are big birds with their head in the dirt squawking, "yes, Vince... whatever you say Vince." Bad look. Good managers are supposed to look out and support good people. Looking out for their good people includes speaking up when they see a process problem. There is a process problem at Concentra. Big time. Everyone that talks about it gets fired or leaves for a better opportunity. Surely the last sentences fell to blind eyes and deaf ears as they have for years yet it's no wonder your organization can't retain good sales talent for more than a few years.
