Inmates Aren't The Only Troublemakers - Lieutenant CoreCivic Employee Review

Pros

Decent pay and benefits for those who live in California.

Cons

* Lots of permanent "pocket" policies as solutions to temporary problems. * Brace yourself every time there's a new Warden, Associate Warden or Chief because they arrive anxious to set the world on fire. * Management plays favorites. Favorites are assigned to more interesting posts where more learning and skill building takes place. Everyone has a right to the same training, but this is a good way to get around that. * Shameless suck ups are rewarded. Those they suck up to can't seem to get enough.

Pros

Everything about this place is great

Cons

Working at this job has been a valuable experience for me both personally and professionally. The work environment is positive, and I’ve learned how important teamwork, communication, and responsibility are in a fast-paced setting. Management does a good job of keeping employees informed and helping when needed, which makes the job easier and less stressful. I also appreciate the opportunity to build new skills and gain experience that can help me in future career opportunities. The coworkers are supportive and easy to work with, creating a comfortable atmosphere throughout the workday. While every job has challenges, this position has helped me become more patient, disciplined, and confident in handling different situations. Overall, I would recommend this workplace to others looking for experience, growth, and a steady job environment. It has helped me improve my work ethic and better understand the importance of professionalism and consistency every day.
