Pros
Overall, I do enjoy working at Course Hero. It's an ambitious company with a start up and product led growth culture solving tough challenges in higher education for students and educators while competing in the era of low cost and free genAI tools. It's highly B2C centric company so that excites me. The leadership team at Course Hero since I've joined have long tenures so there's a good sign of that stability. ICs go into the office 2x per month to work so it's very flexible and manageable as a parent with toddlers' school schedule and extracurricular activities. Course Hero's benefits also reflect their support for working parents so I appreciate the thought put into the WFO policy.
Cons
Like any other startups, there's growing pains that come with growth when there's directional changes in the strategy or operations. Working in a leaner organization means people have to wear multiple hats and carry extra work which can't always be sustainable for an indefinite time.
