Pros

You get free lunch if you go into the office on Mondays and Thursdays. This is less a pro and more a necessity because salaries, promotions and bonuses are frozen against rising inflation.

Cons

Where to begin? The use of racial slurs in meetings by senior leaders? Rampant sexual harassment? A peak under DAI's rug would reveal toxicity strong enough to knock out a small town. Staff known for their misogyny are merely shipped off to country offices where lawsuits are less likely. Friends of management are given jobs despite proven under performance. Pressure to do more with less is making people physically sick. Blame that should rest solely on the shoulders of inept project leaders is shifted to the most junior staff, but in the words of the CEO 'if they don't like it, they can leave'.

Pros

Strong culture of integrity. Absolutely spectacular colleagues. Super interesting work.

Cons

Basically denuded of staff due to USAID cuts. Upper management had become obsessed with performance against metrics that were poorly fit to the business, and were focused entirely on how they might meet those metrics this week, without looking ahead to how to make structural improvements over the longer term.
