I have been working at DAI full-time

    Pros

Good growth potential, movement from one department to another, flexible hours, a good degree of work life/balance.

    Cons

Some manager are just horrible. Not knowledgeable and/or too emotional to work with. It can be found anywhere though, but if looking into working here, try to do your FBI work on who the manager will be. People quit the managers, not the company.

    Advice to Management

Allow, with no resentment, for your team to grow and move to other departments. Even if it means you will have more workload while you find a replacement.

I have been working at DAI full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Good company, very stable despite general governmental uncertainty. Employee owned, including incentives to buy company shares. High win percentage. Management seems responsive to employee voices

    Cons

401k matching is minimal, with long vesting period.

    Advice to Management

It seems like you're trying to save money and create space by renovating the floors, but you should consider instead just having more people work remotely, part or full-time.

I have been working at DAI full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Nice employee incentive program. Friendly staff. Some departments have room for growth and/or flexibility to move throughout the company. Great work/life balance.

    Cons

Corrupt HR department especially at the top level. Too many under performing employees and those employees seem to get significant employee incentives. Upper management over paid.

    Advice to Management

Overhaul HR or you'll continue to lose valuable employees while keeping under performing employees employed.

I have been working at DAI full-time

    Pros

I've been in the development business for over five years and DAI seems to have the best reputation for integrity, excellence and how it treats employees.

    Cons

Communication could be better across teams. Having time to take advantage of all the training opportunities would be good too.

    Advice to Management

    None.

    I worked at DAI full-time

    Pros

The job itself was interesting but work you can do at an development company without putting up with severely poor good ol' boys management style.

    Cons

Severely poor mismanagement that is very lax about serious issues. Depending on the manager, sexual harassment, hostile working environments, discrimination and more, are allowed to fester (or engaged in by the manager himself) when working abroad. A cowboy mentality to development work.

    Advice to Management

Listen to complaints from workers and take them seriously.

I worked at DAI full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

None. If I could give this below one star, I would.

    Cons

Do not work here. It is toxic and will affect your everyday wellbeing. Expect to be uselessly micromanaged to the point of dysfunction. You'll think about quitting every single day. Also, horrible pay for what you go through.

    Advice to Management

Destroy and rebuild from ground up.

    Cons

Awful management. Does not treat employees like humans. There's a high turnover here for a reason.

    I worked at DAI full-time

    Pros

Flexible work schedule, work from home option. Nice system of employee rewards for morale. Although because the work schedule is so flexible, you'll often be working nights and weekends due to a lack of boundaries.

    Cons

Most of the employees are friendly, good-spirited, and hard working. However every department is riddled with toxic, territorial dragons who sabotage workflow and inhibit necessary process improvement to inefficient, outdated policies. It was not uncommon to witness colleagues leaving the building crying due to this toxicity and inability to foster a positive work environment. Very difficult to move upwards at DAI, as purposeful blocks are in place that force employees to leave the company in search of promotion elsewhere. The folks in HR are extremely corrupt, from the top-down. Confidentiality in employee-relations matters does not exist - they are are snakes and alcoholism is a problem - beware.

    Advice to Management

    HR overhaul necessary.
