Just my point of view

The compensation, benefits, and PTO are good. That's really the only thing anybody likes about working here.
Cons
The company is owned by the banks and has virtually no competition and thus nobody cares about anything. The smallest things take forever to get done. Management is not very qualified to lead highly technical projects (which seniors devs can probably sniff out during their interviews) so we bring in sub-par, offshore contractors who consistently under deliver.

The current CIO is the perfect example of a leader! She listens to both sides of the aisle and acts on what both sides would benefit from. Not o lot does she listen, she cares about her people and stands up for them. I can see her being the CEO. She deserves it!
Cons
Our CEO. Not trustworthy and seems to operate behind close curtains. When asked bluntly about specific topics, he’ll give you a corporate answer. Turnaround to 3-4 days later, an email with a well written response is provided but not with a popular answer. Says he listens but that is no the case.

Pros
There is a real focus on diversity within the company. There are opportunities to progress if you are a go getter.
Cons
The company likes to declare success on initiatives prematurely. There is a lot of style over substance where you build the minimum viable product and then release it and move on to something else. This leads to a lot of shoddy code and applications. If you aren't working on a high profile project, it takes a lot of effort to get anything accomplished.
