Pros
- DataCamp is democratizing data science education, and being able to be a part of that was an honor. This motivation was shared by all of my co-workers. The work DataCamp does matters. - Extremely smart colleagues. - Great compensation and benefits. - Flexible working hours. - The company is growing quickly, and management is changing the structure accordingly on a regular basis, continuously challenging its operation. The fact that the company is growing, also means that are plenty of opportunities for growth. - Transparency (regular all-hands meetings where targets vs actuals about different parts of the business and upcoming big projets are presented, with a Q&A at the end). - All of my managers cared about my personal well-being, all the while giving very honest and constructive feedback about my work. This has helped me tremendously in becoming a better professional.
Cons
- Everybody wanted to move forward as quickly as possible on anything they were working on without compromising on quality, with crazy goals and timelines. This can lead to stressful episodes and extra hours, but in my opinion, the company's mission made it all worth it.
