Pros

I learned a tremendous amount at Demandbase. There were a lot of experienced, smart, hard working people during my time at the company. There are some really great leaders that were very supportive and will continue to be mentors in my future. Demandbase is able to hire and sell aggressively and therefore bring in a lot of revenue. I think they will eventually have a large exit. The advertising product is the cash cow for the company and more recently their website side of the business started picking up in the market. The CEO is a smart and nice guy and takes the time to connect with employees. The benefits are amazing and the pay is pretty good. They moved to an unlimited PTO policy, but often that is dependent on the manager's view on if you deserve it or not.

Cons

The culture is disingenuous (marketing tactic), aggressive, inclusive for some, and promotes based on age/gender/or other irrelevant factors rather than performance. Leadership is full of old school middle-aged white males with very old corporate ways of managing a business. I had two of the worst bosses of my career during my time at Demandbase. A lot of the middle management lack the skills needed to make a team successful, yet continue to be promoted. "Optics" are important, I used to see an executive walking around the office counting the number of people at their desk. The technology is great in theory, but lacks enough transparency on the data side. They hide a lot from their customers and paint a false picture of the technology's capability. They often release half-baked products to market and put the pressure on customer-facing positions to deal with the upset client when it breaks.

Pros

I love this place so much, best company I have ever worked for in my sales career. You are able to be truly heard, no matter what level of tenure you are speaking to. It is remarkable how a corporate company of this size is able to operate in such a human way. I really love it here and have zero plans on leaving.

Cons

Our onboarding/training program is really lacking. If you are not a true self-starter and proactive to find the answers and learn the job mostly on your own or leaning on others, you will likely not succeed. I fortunately did not have this issue but it has been an issue for some.
