Pros

I joined EPAM Anywhere (part of EPAM) less than a year ago but I quickly found that it’s a good match with my expectations and values. The important thing for me is not being tied to one location and being able to work from any spot of my choosing. I’m glad that I don’t have to spend time commuting and, at the same time, I get all the advantages that office employees receive, like free health insurance, gym memberships, big-name projects, career opportunities, mentors, skill-advisors, a very broad educational base, language courses, relocation opportunities, bonus branded gifts, and support at all my steps but no micromanaging and so on.

Cons

Time between projects can be a possible con but, in my experience, the staffing team starts to look for your next project before your current one ends. There can also be project-specific cons but that’s only a possibility. In addition, I should mention that remote work is not the best fit for everyone. If it's hard for you to organize and motivate yourself to be productive, or if it's important for you to have a chat with colleagues while sitting in the same room, you might consider working remotely as a con.

Pros

Interesting projects, high tech standards and internal knowledge sharing, and a rich representation of all possible Slavic accents.

Cons

Engineering-first culture results in obnoxiously fragmented internal tech platforms because errybody wants to build it themselves. Not a big deal, just engineers doing what engineers will do.
