Pros

Supportive Culture & Management and Personal & Professional Growth - In my experience at Eversource I learned that communication is key to growth and success. In order to move within the company you need to perceive everything as an experience to take something valuable from it and grow. It's important to have the courage to vocalize your strengths and weaknesses and where you want to or need to improve. On that note Eversource Management is very supportive and is excited to contribute to your personal and professional growth. This is not an environment for people who are looking for a "job" and are just expecting a promotion. You have to work for it and communicate you desires for change and growth. As far as opportunities for promotions go, they are there but they require patience, handwork and unfortunately, good timing.

Cons

Non-Competitive Wages and Traditional Corporate Environments - Eversource could improve on it's wages- feedback I have received from a few employees. Although Eversource has little control of the environments or cultures of it's clients it can sometimes make or break the experience for an associate. I would recommend that we as a whole continue to be as progressive as we can about reinventing the corporate culture from the inside out. I've heard from a few employees that a corporate culture can be very pretentious and therefore overwhelming. I can imagine how difficult that must be for someone stepping into a professional environment for the first time.

Pros

Mid-paced & customer-facing. Database & GUI driven. Not a call-center environment, but vital to Client-Contractor relationship. Freedom to work hybrid, as needed. GxP facility, so training is expansive & up-to-date.

Cons

Wear many hats, responsible for vastly different aspects regarding subordinates & their daily/special tasks. Pay below average, due to stand-up costs & developing job opportunities while on-site. OJT almost up to par, but needs furthering via seminars, certifications.

Pros

Great benefit options Flexible 401k contribution amounts Company wants to hear how they can improve I loved my manager and my direct leadership team Great work-life balance (no real overtime and when you are off people don't bother you)

Cons

Career advancement was good when I started but has become pretty stagnant (there are a lot of entry level positions or upper management but not much in between) Hiring process has become too long
