Pros

From the top down, people work for the mission of the company. It's something to see. Everyone in the company is empowered to make an impact. Smart people share information, and helping the larger whole move forward is valued.

Cons

Growth comes with gaps in knowledge, scaling multiple things 1 person managed to multiple teams now managing it means that lots of processes are still getting established.

Pros

I joined the company as a Backend Software Engineer. Overall, I'd say the company had several strengths. The initial offer was competitive, and the role provided a strong foundation for developing my interpersonal skills. Working professionally means regularly collaborating with a wide range of personalities and navigating competing deadlines. Learned how to work well with others, regulate emotions and developed emotional distance between me and my work (matured as a professional a lot). I found that as long as deliverables were met, the work environment remained stable.

Cons

There was considerable turnover on the engineering team, which I understood to be related in part to concerns about the tech stack and the company's overall direction.
