Pros

- intelligent teammates across the company that care about the product and company - great product and engineering leadership are very approachable, they listen and trust those they work with - very transparent communication and insight into how the company is doing - always moving to the latest and greatest tech and tools when it makes sense to do so

Cons

- there’s some tech debt so sometimes it feels as if things aren’t moving as fast as we’d like even when they are - in the past there’s been hyper focus on product instead of engineering, although we’ve shifted more to focus on engineering and tech debt, it’s a bit difficult to strike the right balance between the two - onboarding is kind of chaotic, there’s no rock solid onbording plan for engineers

Pros

I joined the company as a Backend Software Engineer. Overall, I'd say the company had several strengths. The initial offer was competitive, and the role provided a strong foundation for developing my interpersonal skills. Working professionally means regularly collaborating with a wide range of personalities and navigating competing deadlines. Learned how to work well with others, regulate emotions and developed emotional distance between me and my work (matured as a professional a lot). I found that as long as deliverables were met, the work environment remained stable.

Cons

There was considerable turnover on the engineering team, which I understood to be related in part to concerns about the tech stack and the company's overall direction.
