Pros

The team is small but talented. The product solves a major financial pain point for hourly workers. The market potential is $3-4 trillion in payment volume. The roadmap for what we need to accomplish is pretty clear (at least for the next 18 months) and exciting. We're moving into a newly remodeled office on Waverly in March 2015. Our founder, Ram, is a successful repeat entrepreneur but still humble enough to look to us for ideas and inspiration.

Cons

The location in Palo Alto is convenient to caltrain, but still a bit of a commute for anyone not near a caltrain station. We may open an SF office down the road given that a number of our key team members come from the city. We've got a lot of work to do to make the app easier to use and more reliable.

Pros

I joined the company as a Backend Software Engineer. Overall, I'd say the company had several strengths. The initial offer was competitive, and the role provided a strong foundation for developing my interpersonal skills. Working professionally means regularly collaborating with a wide range of personalities and navigating competing deadlines. Learned how to work well with others, regulate emotions and developed emotional distance between me and my work (matured as a professional a lot). I found that as long as deliverables were met, the work environment remained stable.

Cons

There was considerable turnover on the engineering team, which I understood to be related in part to concerns about the tech stack and the company's overall direction.
