Pros

Most coworkers are really cool. A lot of decent people there.

Cons

Vastly underpays people at every level compared to competitors. Forced to sign a company wide compensation plan change that took away all bonuses through a convoluted new bonus structure “where you can make much more” when you beat arbitrary goals they set after they see how you start your year as opposed to doing better that year prior. Went from having monthly, quarterly and annual bonuses to having a cumulative yearly bonus paid out a portion each monthy and not paid if your pace slowed because you had been “overpaid” in prior bonuses relative to your production at this point of the year. Had multiple accounts stolen from my team either through territory realignment, change in sales strategy or outright lies. Lay off hundreds of people due to reduction in force across the country one week then a week later post multiple “new” openings in the same areas you just let people go to reduce workforce. Was actually told that I had no chance to advance to upper management because I was “too involved in my children’s lives” and that “ your family needs to understand that your job comes first 24/7”

Pros

Good base salary, a lot of resources, and other BDMs are very supportive and willing to help new BDMs

Cons

So much of your success depends on the Operations and Recruiting team. You can do your job and get the sale, but if your recruitment team does not do a good job filling the orders or they have a lot of turnover, all of your hard work is for nothing basically. In my experience leadership for whatever reason will do the bare minimum to address issues with the recruiters and you will likely not have a meaningful solution to the problem.
