Pros
Very talented and dedicated staff. Top notch scientists who care about the mission. Total absence of modern technology, especially information technology, forces everyone to think outside the box for workarounds - great for team building.
Cons
Incompetent management/leadership. Leadership positions randomly (or maybe not randomly) dropped into various offices rather than allowing career ladders for superior performers. The problems with leadership is the reason why I am looking for a different job.
