Pros
- Great compensation for an early job outside of college. Raises are genuinely competitive - Awesome community of smart people, I often felt like the dumbest person in the room and grew a lot professionally - Coworkers are genuinely amazing and are very comfortable helping each other out when you're struggling - Cool campus, nice amenities
Cons
- Management staffs very aggressively and will intentionally put you on multiple projects that will require 45-55 hours/week to not fall behind - Management will not advocate alongside you for work/life balance and if you give an inch they will take a mile. Working weekends or past 5pm was a regular occurrence - Roughly 80% of the travel you do will require flying outside of business hours or over weekends (earliest flight @5am, have flown 11 hour days on weekends) - Internal documentation is not a priority. You are expected to "build the plane as you fly it" for portions of the install. If you want to pitch in to improve it, you're doing so on your own time not company time. - Raises and promotions are based almost entirely on feedback rather than concrete KPIs. This promotes a culture where people will prioritize "saving face" or "looking good" rather than actual performance
