Pros

- Will hire graduates with liberal arts degrees - Will give those graduates immense responsibility early on with opportunity to earn trust and work more independently - Excellent job security if you can consistently meet and/or exceed expectations - Great raise and bonuses if you can consistently exceed expectations

Cons

- Unrealistically high expectations for new hires translates into high pressure and long working hours if you are not comfortable saying 'no' - Extremely process heavily, with little flexibility/agility in project work - Underwhelming benefits, especially compared to industry standards: 10 days PTO, 6.5 Holidays, 6 sick days, and 6 WFH days per year. No extreme weather WFH, no COVID/Flu WFH. - Out of touch upper management has trust issues with the rest of the company which leads to: - High turnover. Epic has trouble retaining talent because of their focus on WFW, lack of flexibility. - Expectations are clear and standardized across roles and there is not much room for you to step into areas of strength/interests.
