Pros

My direct boss is great guy and he have me a unique opportunity and the primary team I was in were great folks to work with. Easy to work together and learned a lot from each other.

Cons

I worked on a secondary team that was full of toxic bad politics, the team manager was bad to trash his team during standups, while complaining that he hated being a manager. There were unclear goals and no one was willing to help without letting you know how annoyed they are. The team had one of the worst QA folks I have ever worked with, wanted you to do all her work for her while being confrontational and disrespectful to her coworkers. Only one manager, my direct boss would quash her attitude. Her boss would just make excuses for her bad behavior. The politics of this team caused my position to be eliminated. I was told my performance was really good and not the reason for my termination. It’s scary that you can lose your job, not by bad performance but because people play politics in the “right way”. The reason for my one star review.

Thank you for sharing your experiences. We value all feedback and are also committed to making Experian an exceptional place to work. Sounds like you had a great direct manager and grew professionally whilst with us. You haven't mentioned if you had raised your issues internally through the numerous channels and options available during your time with us, including to HR or senior leaders. It is disheartening to read you feel your Experian journey was 1 star, particularly as this is in stark contrast to majority of the experiences described here on Glassdoor and via our internal people listening strategies such as employee surveys, exit interviews etc. I'd love for you to have had the same positive experience they're having. Always open to hearing more and better understanding your point of view, feel free to reach out to me - doug.kelsall@experian.com. All the best, Doug Kelsall, Global Employer Branding Director.

Pros

Decent salary & benefits, monthly no internal meeting days

Cons

Friendly reminder that HR does not care about you. They care about staff with seniority, whom they will allow to retaliate despite that being against company policies. Think twice about reporting the higher ups because it will come back to haunt you, guaranteed. Also, AI is the only thing that matters anymore. Watching the volume of once-impressive colleagues become so single and simple minded through constant AI usage is not only disappointing but genuinely alarming. Thinking for oneself is no longer the standard, it seems, and speaking against such unfettered use of AI in all things will get you professionally ostracized.
