Pros

Great Pay (salary + commission) Good Benefits Good Experience Growing Company

Cons

Demanding quotas Struggling economy Tough market penetration You might have to take a lot of crap from some hot-headed business owners/managers. Misleading job title and description. I was great at providing support to the sales team and could do the sales as well but since I was the sales support I had no one to turn to for help and had to instead rely on myself to do all the work creating, balancing, supporting, providing, ordering for, and managing all the accounts. You're sales, sales support, market research, accounting, procurement, VMI, and prospecting all in one but only get paid for the sales. Its worth getting into to build your resume but I wouldn't plan on sticking around.

Pros

Lots of responsibility. Decentralized company, which can work in your favor.

Cons

Pay is low based on competitors. Politics, lots of it. Cost-centers everywhere. Everyone has to make money off the branches: the hub, NA, regions, support, etc. Being a GM is probably one of the hardest jobs. Your job on the lean team is to support NA and the branch. It is hard to fully support both at the same time. It is a balancing act that frequently is blamed on you. Frequently, your coworkers just want to put their name on your work and create problems because of their egos.
