Pros

Flexibility, Great staff and management, promote from within. The management in T-hub is younger, and are very open to hearing out new ideas and strategies to solve problems. T-hub was a really interesting warehouse to work in. New facility, so everyone there was getting acquainted with new machinery and software. As such, lots of daily issues would arise in trying to smooth out things like software glitches, issues with totes getting stuck in the conveyors or cranes. However, it presented a lot of opportunities for employees to demonstrate their problem solving skills, and patience. Some people might see it as annoying, but I looked at it as a way to help the company. Management recognized people who put in the effort, and while it didnt result in more hours or a pay raise, it certainly puts you at the top of the list to be considered for a promotion.

Cons

If you're part time, they mean it. Nobody is allowed to work more than 28hrs in a week as a part timer. However, full time is considered 32 hrs. So anything over that is overtime, but they're very strict about it. Not really a con, but if you want more hours as a part timer, it just wont happen.

Pros

I like my coworkers and my GM is a good .

Cons

The business model and lean staffing is simply unsustainable. Entry level pay, part time, little training, no commissions. Fastenal is focused on the sale rather than the customer. The wing it mentatility leaves customer service lacking. It's a roll coaster of putting one fire out after the other. They sale the position during the interview process but after your in there's empty promises with no real timelines for when the advancement is coming. Upper management seems out of touch with the day to day business. If you ask for help they simply say you have a good schedule. It's extremely disappointing that it has turned out this way because I was excited about the prospect of becoming an Account manager.
