Pros

Firstborn is filled with talented, smart, funny, supportive and compassionate people that genuinely care about one another and their work. As a result, there’s strong collaboration across teams and it’s a really fun work environment. There’s a solid mix of diverse clients and interesting projects, and the company’s focus on craft and emerging tech means that employees are always encouraged to learn new skills, take risks and challenge the status quo. The benefits package is also incredible.

Cons

Like most agencies, Firstborn has to work with clients that want more for less and they say they want to be innovative, but they are actually extremely risk-averse. This song-and-dance can be incredibly frustrating, especially when good work is left on the cutting room floor.

Pros

Firstborn is one of those places that a lot of agencies try to be but just can't...and that's exactly the point. Firstborn isn't trying to be anything or anyone..they're just being them, and its been that way from the beginning. Firstborn is a work hard, play hard kind of place and has one of those unique cultures that you only come across very few times in your career...if you're lucky. It's not contrived or manufactured but it just feels authentic and like a family...but not in the sappy sense. The kind of family that respects each other but also doesn't take your crap, that pushes you to do better because they know you can; and in the end you can see that mentality pay off in the work that they produce. They also just renovated a new office space that very much represents this vibe, particularly with the addition of Firstborn Brewco.

Cons

Its not a place to be if you just want to cruise. You have to be willing to work hard, put in the hours and make an impact.
