Pros

If you work with the right District Manager you will get trained properly and move up in the company in no time. Awesome Discount program in so many aspect if you keep up with the company partnerships on discounts with various clients. High Energy if you have the passion for people and helping People. Gamestarter is a awesome book on teaching employees on how to train and physcologically how to deal with your customers. HR team is pretty cool and respond quickly

Cons

No work life balance, this company will chew you up and spit you out. I have seen dedicated managers lose their jobs over something so simple like breathing wrong on an associate, these are managers that have been with the company for 10+ years only to lose it with nothing else to fall back on but selling shoes so THIS COMPANY DOES NOT INVEST IN THIER PEOPLE!!! The upper management coaches you into not going to school to obtain a college degree and their lines are "you don't need a college education you're making more money than people with an college education or we don't go around school schedules" but if someone get hired in with a college degree they'll move up quickly, salesmanship doesn't matter here. They claim how they want you to be better but don't allow you to better yourself through education. The company has no tuition reimbursement program so they really don't want you to better yourself because you'll then recognize your worth. (IM TELLING AND REPEATING THIS TO FOR A REASON!) If you're complacent in life well this job for you! Fair Employment isn't fair at all. The company is losing focus on holding people accountable on coming to work due to all of this political harassment and equal opportunity acts to where they are scared to hold people accountable, you can call off multiple times as a part timer and even do multiple no call no show and they'll advise you to just slap them on the wrist and they can keep their job. It becomes something very stressful for management. So they lack accountablity which over works their management team and some part time employees who are dedicated to the business. part timers hold the power to the company they can do whatever they want, so can the assistant managers. Medical Insurance and 401k is horrible. DM micro manage the managers down to telling you what days you can work, leave early, working every sunday, wanting management to close every weekend day, monitor when you can and can't take vacations or sick days, mandatory for you to work thanksgiving, the day before christmas and after christmas, every holiday that the business is open you will work them as a manager and depending on the volume of your store you WILL NOT GET PAID OVERTIME or HOLIDAY PAY!!!! District Managers talk to their managers like crap because they are only there for a pay check. I have worked with several DM's so please believe it someone is training them this way and whomever it is is a TRASH LEADER. This company use to be thee company to work for and it use to be so hard to get into the business unless you knew someone who can pull you in, now the turn over rate is so high because people aren't getting paid enough money support not only their lives but their family lives. Health insurance premium for a single person alone is about $90 every two weeks. Start at footlocker when you're 16 and you'll by a DM by the time you're 30. If you start at 25 you'll be a DM by the time you're 90. If you want to travel/relocate for the company, think twice! They pay for the Uhual and Lease Break fee....Everything else is up to you so make sure you have a savings account just to travel with footlocker. If youre not a DM or Upper Management you have to do it all on your own. They preach on the customer experience and associate experience but i promise you they only care about the customer because thats who is bringing in the revenue!!! In their eyes your robot who run and stand all day long sometimes as a manager you don't even get a freaking break.

Pros

Working here puts you right at the center of sneaker, fashion, and youth culture. You get exposure to massive global vendor partnerships (Nike, Jordan, Adidas, Puma) and high-scale enterprise operations that look great on a resume. Solid corporate benefits package including a competitive 401(k) match, health/wellness accounts, and performance-based bonuses or RSUs at leadership levels. Excellent product perks, including an employee discount across all banners (Foot Locker, Champs, Kids Foot Locker). The corporate dress code is casual and sneaker-friendly. Internal Mobility: Because of the massive global corporate footprint, there are clear paths to transition across different departments (Marketing, Supply Chain, Tech, Finance, Merchandising) along with tuition reimbursement opportunities.

Cons

In efforts to streamline costs, optimize the store fleet, and fund digital growth, the company has historically undergone structural realignments, corporate relocations, or localized layoffs, which can impact team morale and workload distribution.
