They will use and abuse you until you serve them no purpose, then they will blame you for something you had no part in and terminate you. So be prepared to trust no one, not even HR or your manager. Favoritism is everywhere, and that's the only way you'll be kept around or get any kind of a promotion or raise, not based off your performance.
