Pros

The EID co-op program provides great opportunities for career development -- especially if you're interested in applying for GE's leadership programs -- and provides competitive salaries and benefits. If you're willing to take on a large project, GE will be more than happy to give it to you.

Cons

EID interns don't technically get paid sick days but most managers will let you take them off anyway or let you make up hours.

Pros

My first job after college and my internship was a great experience. I learned a lot about medical devices and the medical device industry, and I even got promoted to site leader pretty quickly.

Cons

My training was nonexistent; I learned everything from medical device service manuals. In my region, a billion-dollar company offered no bonuses or decent pay, and the management was micromanaging and horrible.
