      Pros

      A company that cares about training and leadership development. Very dynamic and fast-paced, with a culture where being nice is rewarded. Great place to learn about business management. Some of the main offices will feel very international as it is one of the most global companies.

      Cons

      GE really struggled in 2017 and is especially struggling to integrate digital technology into the company. Being a data scientist at GE involves working through a lot of unclean and siloed databases and dealing with plenty of managers who fundamentally don't understand what you do.

      Pros

      My first job after college and my internship was a great experience. I learned a lot about medical devices and the medical device industry, and I even got promoted to site leader pretty quickly.

      Cons

      My training was nonexistent; I learned everything from medical device service manuals. In my region, a billion-dollar company offered no bonuses or decent pay, and the management was micromanaging and horrible.
