Genentech's motto is work hard, play hard. This is very true. They also believe in running lean. Its a business after all. Unless your a hard worker and can meet project deadlines. This is not the place for you. People are great, benefits are great. Even though management talks about running lean constantly. They don't compromise on safety and quality. At the end of the day, you will feel satisfied of the contributions you have made. Patients comes first!
Cons
As the biotech industry grows. Many new process are implemented and new tools developed which adds to the time it takes to produce a particular run. However run rates stay the same. More to do with the same amount of time. Work life balance may suffer if your working night shift. No matter what shift your on, you have to attend meetings on your off shift on a routine basis.
