Culture of fear and retaliation - Director Genesys Employee Review

I have been a long term employee (five plus years) of Genesys, there were challenges but there was always a sense of team and positive work environment. The positive culture started to perish under the leadership of Tony Bates. In public his choice of words gave all of us a lot of hope towards the future of the company whereas his actions contradicted what he stands for. There is a culture of fear and retaliation as Tony only wants to hear that his actions have resulted in growth of the business. It is considered a career limiting move if you highlight risks or share a point of view which is different from the allies of Tony within the executive team. Legal and HR that are supposed to create a balance in the organization act as mute spectator or facilitator of Tony's commands. Ones that have politically played their cards are in Tony's inner circle and reap the benefits without accountability.
