Pros

The pay is good, and the cost of living is low. Good transport in and around the campus is provided by Georgia Tech, in addition to cabs at night -- all free. Also, the campus is in the mid-town area.

Cons

The "reduced tuition" for GRAs is somewhat high: $1150 a year. Unfortunately, there's a somewhat high incidence of theft and other crime in the area, though nothing alarming. Winters can be chilly! Also, if you're planning on riding a bike, it's hard because of the ups and downs.

Pros

- Free Housing - Meal Plan - One of the better on campus job for students in my opinion (still able to be involved in other activities as a student on campus)

Cons

- Duty part of the job (Being on call and getting late night lock outs but this is rare), and definitely can still do homework in between doing duty rounds - experience can also depend on your hall director / area (but regardless still served on great RA teams, can be great if you have a co-ra but also been good at time being a single RA on the floor (no need to coordinate schedule if you do events together as a single RA unless you alternate events with your co)
