Pros

The grad school at Tech is top 10 within US for all engineering disciplines, so this puts you in the middle of a lot of very smart people.

Cons

As a PhD student, they give you a stipend but take it away in the name of 'mandatory fees.' That leaves you with peanuts to live on.

Pros

- Free Housing - Meal Plan - One of the better on campus job for students in my opinion (still able to be involved in other activities as a student on campus)

Cons

- Duty part of the job (Being on call and getting late night lock outs but this is rare), and definitely can still do homework in between doing duty rounds - experience can also depend on your hall director / area (but regardless still served on great RA teams, can be great if you have a co-ra but also been good at time being a single RA on the floor (no need to coordinate schedule if you do events together as a single RA unless you alternate events with your co)
