Pros

* Get to network with students and lots of smart people. * Get to influence how courses are run. * Get to learn course material very well. * Helping students is enjoyable. * Very flexible hours/convenient on-campus job.

Cons

* Minimum wage. * First semester is paid in credit. * Grading is very time consuming and cumbersome. * Proctoring tests can be somewhat boring. * Having to proctor/grade tests during finals week is annoying.

Pros

- Free Housing - Meal Plan - One of the better on campus job for students in my opinion (still able to be involved in other activities as a student on campus)

Cons

- Duty part of the job (Being on call and getting late night lock outs but this is rare), and definitely can still do homework in between doing duty rounds - experience can also depend on your hall director / area (but regardless still served on great RA teams, can be great if you have a co-ra but also been good at time being a single RA on the floor (no need to coordinate schedule if you do events together as a single RA unless you alternate events with your co)
