You learn how to handle extremely difficult situations when navigating a toxic culture led from poor example by executives with backgrounds leading failing companies. You can learn a lot about how not to behave, how not to treat people, and how not to succeed.
Cons
There is no success plan to fix the company. And yet so many beat their heads into the wall everyday. No job or company is worth the stress and ill treatment experienced here by the COO and other executives. The company has been in decline for many years, so my advice to current employees and prospective candidates is to move on. There are many wonderful companies in this region that are deserving of your many talents. This company is not one of them. There is not a plan to turn things around. It will not return to its former glory. RUN! Go be happy and healthy working somewhere (anywhere) else. It’s amazing how much more you can appreciate and be appreciated finding another job after leaving this company. Stop delaying the inevitable. Stop putting off being happy and successful by putting money in the pockets of those that don’t respect you.
