Pros

*fun environment to work in with decent starting salary (great people, summer fridays, rooftop lunches, happy hours, sports teams) *casual attire, lenient leave, 'team player' environment. the people i met at guidepoint became some of my closest friends for life *learning how to research any industry you can imagine (you truly master how to 'google' anything), giving you the tools to build your own career as your clients do themselves *experience in client relationship management and networking, cultivating new business, project management on rising industries, and recruiting C-Level executives and industry leaders *standing desks and snacks *team dinners if you hit your goal

Cons

*the keurig machine. come on, people. *because the company no longer specializes in project management by industry categories (i.e., the energy team, the telecom team, the retail team, etc.), the research and project management positions are extremely general, making you less marketable in your career path. while some projects may interest you or go along with what you previously worked in/studied, you will absolutely come across topics that are way over your head or bore you to tears. this creates your 'daily grind'. that, combined with few opportunities to move up in the company, is why most leave after 1-3 years. *no networking opportunities with clients, as well as sometimes unfair/nontransparent distribution of accounts to project managers/research managers
