Cons
I worked in Harrods for five years. I had great times and met many interesting people but there was no care for employees' psychological wellbeing. It is very nice to have mental well being weeks on paper but I told management I suffered of insomnia due to the constant changing shift patterns and nothing ever happened. There were few leaders we could look up to.Rules were used only gainst those people the management wanted to get rid of (I know, I was a manager). On many occasions GSMs could be seen doing their personal shopping during working hours, for instance. Had this been a Sales Associate, he/she would go straight into disciplinary. Also, it was very interesting to see that most management was British while most employees were quite international.
