The culture has been slowly degrading. I think the culture now is just to appease clients, and this kind of short-term thinking is hurting the company and clients. The financial climate in health care has meant no investment in cultural events. This used to be a fun and engaging place to work. It isn't right now. Returning to being a great workplace will take a couple of years. Other problems are work-life balance and the use of proprietary tools. Many of us worked and sacrificed for the company during the tough times and were let go. Dedication or skill didn't seem to save them. Those employees are now facing situations where the proprietary tools we use hinder their job search. We really need to switch to off-the-shelf products.
