Pros

When I started, the company WAS great! The atmosphere WAS fun and exciting. The people WERE great. The culture WAS great. Leadership WAS great. The company USED to care about the employees and their families. However, this was all before 2010 - when the company was purchased by AutoTrader/Cox.

Cons

Now that AutoTrader/Cox owns HomeNet, the leadership changes on a pretty regular basis. People seem to be jockeying for position all the time. Politics are a big deal in this company. AutoTrader implanted their own people into key positions. They promote from within but it's always their own "friends" who get promoted and some of these people are "slackers". They forced people to change their work schedule which upset the work/life balance. Management says they care about their employees and their families but when there are family-needs, the company is quick to ostracize the employee.

Unfortunately, this meant eliminating roles that were once vital to the growth of the company due to inefficiencies or duplicative work they presented.
