Pros

good pay for entry-level CRA

Cons

- Incompetence. Many on project team are new to their role, too many people don't know what they're doing - Workload. I had 7 protocols and 28 active protocol-sites as an entry-level CRA. This means you'll be overworked until you complain loud enough to hire a new person, onboard them, hand-over to them etc. - Not enough support personnel (CTAs work on 10+ studies); see above. - New Investigator Payments system APECs means ICON doesn't pay Investigators on time: 11 months delay and counting

Pros

Strong Leadership, Fair/Average compensation, Thrive Program (company strives to keep you employeed as Sponsor reallocations occur)

Cons

HR is very hands off. It is very difficult to speak to anyone. Not simple to call and ask a question. Everything has to go through a portal. This is challenging when there is time sensitive needs. They make it work but in my opinion, this is a 'con'.
