IMI Precision Engineering Response
8yWe appreciate the time you took to provide us with feedback on your experience with us. The investment in and deployment of a new, global ERP system represents significant change for the business and our employees during and after the implementation program.
Like many companies, IMI chose a large, global contractor (Wipro) to support the live operations of the new ERP efficiently. This strategy is to ensure flexibility in the size of the support team, and the time zones and languages covered, as the solution is deployed to more sites around the world. No IMI employees’ jobs were impacted by the selection of Wipro to support us; that support work is new for the company.
With the deployment of the new ERP in the Americas some IT employees’ jobs were impacted, including employees who supported the development of the new ERP, which is complete, or the obsolete legacy system. No activity performed by those employees has been transferred to Wipro; it is the kind of change that is common when new technology is introduced. Such changes are always difficult for the employees affected.
Kind regards
IMI Precision Engineering, Americas
