    Pros

    Great people in every deparment

    Cons

Disorganized. Parent company is completely disconnected with subsidiaries

    Advice to Management

Stop hiring incompetent people and let go of those people that have been stagnant and working there for 20+ years. You have young employees who are eager to move up and make a difference

    Pros

The 401(k) is great. Benefits are within normal range for industry.

    Cons

The worst management I have ever work for. Corporate management changes the company's direction weekly. No leaders that have a vision of where the company is headed. Extremely high turn over rate, especially in upper management. Managers spend too much time on useless numbers and no time getting to root cause of any problems. All departments are islands. No inter department communication or problem solving. Overly strict with uniforms and bell system. Treats employees like misbehaving children. No access to tools needed to do your job. No work home life balance. Promise one thing, but it is different once you are hired on. I would never recommend this company to a friend.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your long term employees, they know what they are doing. Stop spending so much energy on things that don't matter in the long run, examples; 5s pens because you are only allowed one on your desk, daily KPI's that don't get to real issues, productivity and OEE are great or horrible and no time spent to find out why, when operators bring up solutions they are ignored, throwing away machines that we have to rebuy a month later, moving machines back and forth with no reason. Less favoritism. More female or diverse managers. Communicate with staff and don't talk down to them. Managers and operators are not "relatively" equal, without the floor employees who have worked there for decades the new managers would not have a job. Work on morale with more than free ice cream and lunch time corn hole games. Work to end mandatory weekends. If you expect your staff to work weekends you should work them also.

    Pros

Some great ans smart and caring employees to work with, too bad they treat the good managers so bad they leave

    Cons

Dictators who don't like women and don't want employees with knowledge to share it or have an opinion. Move people to positions that don't make sense and get rid of the managers that make the place enjoyable. Happened three times in 2016 so only puppets to the dictatorship are left in management. No one smiling or enjoying work anymore.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees, stop eliminating the good managers by scaring them off or moving to other positions. Stop being sexist to women who have opinions as this is the 21st century and dictatorship is not a profitable way to run a business.

I worked at IMI Precision Engineering full-time

    Pros

Near-mandatory overtime, so pay is very competitive. No matter the turnover in leadership, the demand is not subsiding. Stable workload.

    Cons

Pulling from Dave Logan's Tribal Leadership, executives are at stage 3, and their employees are stage 2. There is a massive disconnect in the chain of command, and the employees feel they have no stake in the company as a whole. As a result, there is an overwhelming apathy and acceptance of limited influence that stifles any attempt to grow a team-based structure.

    Advice to Management

Ask your employees how to improve company morale and actually listen to their answers. It will take time to undo years of disengagement, but all is not lost.

    Pros

Company is going through a lot of changes and offers a lot of challenges to learn and grow

    Cons

Matrix organization and decision making takes a lot of time. Don't be surprised if the decision is revisited the following week.

    Advice to Management

Challenging environment needs supportive managers to make success possible

    Pros

Some pretty great people work here. Excellent 401(k). Average benefits.

    Cons

There's constant restructuring so it makes people feel uneasy about working there. There's a lay-off about every 6 months. Doesn't help that the parent company is in the UK and gets to make all the decisions so we are weak and powerless. It's chaos with the harmonization between the three divisions. Everyone is over-worked and stressed out. All employees are disgruntled about 5S Lean that the CEO has initiated. People will come audit your desk to make sure that you don't have an excess number of pens and paper clips.

Moreover, management is terrible. We have over-compensated executives that rely on their subordinates to do all the work for them because they are incompetent. We have over-compensated employees that do entry-level work and won't get fired because they've been there a long time and management doesn't want to do anything about it. This place will suck your soul. Run away while you can.

    Advice to Management

Trim the fat. Invest more in lower-level employees. Listen to what the people need.
