Pros

- The AM team as a whole is supportive and a positive environment - fully paid benefits - matching 401k - autonomy - 30k bonus plan payed quarterly

Cons

- Your direct lead may ask for feedback, but that feedback may never be passed on to higher levels. If it is, it is not listened to. - Employee input is not asked for and it is not valued when given. - CEO says repeatedly that we are doing our best work but they are forcing us back to the office including 5 day in office work weeks from June - September. Many of us have never worked in the office and are thriving. Why change it? - IXL is no longer a small company, but the COO seems to make all of the decisions and is a micromanager. This includes things like the office looking like a prison because she doesn’t like the look of things hanging on walls. - Low base pay. 42k is far below the industry standard which is over 50k - Refuses to take a stance on social justice issues out of fear of losing customers, especially in the Deep South.

Pros

Nice people, a lot of former educators that really care about the mission and making learning better for students. Great product with a lot of innovations.

Cons

VP of sales is shady and slimy and does a bunch of terrible things for company as a whole. Lies about numbers and about bonus compensation, for example we didn’t even know our numbers for an entire year, no way to verify pay and progress to goal, etc. Super messy and unprofessional. Sales managers underneath VP all operate like a cult, there’s a lot of nepotism and favoritism in the upper management and a lot of the males in those roles don’t know what they’re doing and aren’t actually managing their teams. Horrible bosses to work for- high expectations when they themselves don’t do much of anything, and they just don’t care about their people. Could care less about you as a person. An education company should do better!!
