Pros
I enjoy this job! It's pretty chill: each lesson that you teach is 30-45 minutes long. As a full-time employee, you will never teach above 20 hours a week, because 1:1 prep time is included.
Cons
The pay isn't great. It averages out to being all right, depending on how many hours you teach. As a part-time employee, you can expect roughly $20 an hour. As a full-time employee, you can expect $41,200. Additionally, benefits are pretty bad, and the amount taken out of your paycheck is pretty high. Aside from that, it's pretty enjoyable, but it's definitely better as a supplementary job. In addition to the aforementioned, the lesson plans aren't great either. It's pretty common to find typos and even errors in the content itself in the lesson plans and on the slides. All content is created and edited by teams of employees who are given more work with no extra pay.
